In those days, I was tired in resolving No Internet Access issue for my laptop. And the major difference is the operation system is Windows 7.

I found many users are finding the right way for resolving the same issue. I tried all the possible actions, but the issue still cannot be resolved.  Good news is that it is working well now!!!

The reason is that a switch uses static IP address 192.168.1.1, and this static IP address is being used by router at the same time. Windows XP cannot find this issue, so it can work well. But Windows 7 can detect this issue, so Windows 7 asks DNS server(s) from switch, not from router. So it shows No Internet Access, because switch cannot provide DNS server(s). When I found this root cause, I changed the static IP address of switch. Done! That should be a great reference for resolving similar issue(s).

I have to say Windows 7 is better than previous operation systems of Microsoft, such as Windows 2000, Windows XP.

My website (bornayuan.com) is using WordPress system, and it is very good CMS (Content Management System). Now I am looking for a portal system for business portal setup, of course it should be based on PHP technology.

Joomla is a recommended candidate. I think it is a better choice for building portal, but WordPress is for Blog only.

使用最多的Google搜索引擎，最终还是选择离去了。本来呢，其实也没什么，一家互联网企业的进出，再平常不过了。只是很奇怪，我在国内的网站发现不了相关的新闻，更是找不到评论！这，反而引起我的注意，其中肯定有一些值得了解的真实原因。否则中国政府肯定不会限制评论。

辗转了很多国外的网站，还是发现了一些内容。中国政府一再强调“外资企业在中国经营，必须遵守中国法律”，这个应该是无可厚非的，或者说是无可争议的。但问题就是在于这个所谓的“法律”上。Google提供互联网的内容搜索服务，国家要求针对一些内容进行过滤，但是需要过滤的内容，并不能在现有的任何法律中找到任何的明确规定，也就是说，需要Google无条件遵守的“法律”是随机的、口头的、随性的，很多“领导”或者“机构”都会随时给Google只会要马上过滤的内容。所以呢，Google也提及了，需要审查的内容，必须是透明的，显然中国政府是做不到的，有太多的过滤内容是“不合法”的。

长期处于这种压抑的经营状态下，Google的老大们有点受不了了，于是乎今天就爆发了。从个人的角度看，赚钱还是纯粹一点好，少扯上政治的因素。很难想象Google有一天会肩负责任去中东推行民主政策，所以么，当地政府的要求还是尽量去满足，管他是不是合理的，在当地是正确的，就行了。

Google走了，还是有点可惜的。希望这件事情能够尽快过去。

By last weekend, all my domains and websites have been transferred to oversea service provider. The domains are being managed by NAME.COM, and IX Web Hosting is my web hosting provider now.

Actually, my domains and web hosting have been changed several times already. But I have to say China service provider is not good enough, and the service is not professional enough.

For my experience on this, if we use oversea web hosting, we MUST have dedicated IP address! That is the most important condition for selection provider!

电子邮件、文档、视频、网页……所有的信息有多重?也许你不曾考虑这个问题,但事实是,计算机用一串串二进制的“1”和“0”表示所有信息,每个“1”或者“0”就是计算机的最小数据单位“比特”,而每比特的数据都是客观存在、有质量的.那么,每天通过互联网传播的数据加起来有多重呢?

一台普通电脑的存储器里,由电容器来记住计算机接收到的比特是“1”还是“0”,电容器充电后代表“1”,没充电就代表“0”.

先来看一封普通的电子邮件,它包含一段文字和一个文档附件,大小约为50K字节.因为1K有1024字节,1字节有8比特,所以这封邮件包含了 409600比特.其中,平均大约有一半的比特是“1”,另一半是“0”,所以有204800个“1”的信息需要电容器来存储,于是总共需要大约80亿个电子.一个电子的重量为2×10-30磅,所以一封50K电邮的重量大约为1.6×10-20磅,大约相当于21000个铅原子的重量.

但这只是一封电邮.研究发现,电子邮件仅占互联网总流量的9%,所以,互联网的总流量就是大得令人吃惊的40P字节,即40×1015字节——4后面跟着16个0.

把这40P的数值拿过来,套用计算50K电邮时的公式,于是得到了总数1.3×10-8磅——互联网的重量全部加起来大约只有1盎司(28.35克) 的五百万分之一!这意味着,人们通过互联网传递的情书、商业合同、度假照片、家庭影片、音乐……所有这些加在一起,重量仅相当于一颗可能存在的最小的沙砾 ——直径只有1英寸的两千分之一.
